Is it cheaper to rebook a Cebupac ticket or cancel it and book a new ticket?

I wanted to change my travel date and leave my city a few days early but when I tried to change the dates via Cebupac’s rebooking feature – there was a processing fee of 2000 php.

So, I tried my luck and converted my ticket to a travel fund. I thought I would lose some money but the processing fee was only 798 php.

There were cheaper fares on now when I checked their site, so I actually saved some money cancelling my old ticket and converting it into travel fund. I then bought a new ticket with increased baggage (worth about 1300 php) and paid only 593 php.
